Description:

The University of Redlands Government Department seeks outstanding candidates with strong expertise in American Politics or Public Policy for the position of the Ken and Lynn Hall Endowed Professor of Public Policy. Rank is open; a PhD is required. Expertise in the following areas is preferred: State and Local politics, California politics, legislative processes, and applied public policy. Additionally, candidates should have engaged in productive interactions with local, regional, state, or national governmental organizations and entities, in order to provide students with theoretical and practical tools to enhance students’ understanding of policy, research, analysis, and implementation. Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Other responsibilities include pursuing an active research agenda, engaging in university service, advising students, supervising undergraduate research projects, teaching upper division seminars in public policy and other areas of expertise, and possibly teaching introductory courses.
