Description:
Counseling or Clinical Psychologist with training and teaching experience in any of the following areas, broadly defined: addictions and substance abuse, anxiety, career development, community psychology, eating disorders, family issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotherapy, schizophrenia, and trauma.  We are especially interested in candidates who work with underrepresented groups.  The successful candidate will teach six courses during the academic year, including Introductory Psychology, Personality Theories, Abnormal Psychology, courses in his or her specialty area, and other courses to be determined in collaboration with the department chair.  Faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly activity and share responsibility for advising students, supervising student research, and university service.  A Ph.D. in psychology by September 2008 is required.  Strong preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching and to an active research program that involves undergraduate students.
