There are many reasons to choose the University of Redlands School of Education for a program in teaching, administration or counseling. Consider our longstanding reputation for excellence; our great relationships with area schools; our fine and dedicated faculty, experienced adjunct practitioners, and excellent field supervisors.
Our Supportive and Personal Approach When you join a Redlands program, you’ll join a small community of students who will share most of your classes. Classes are participative and student-centered; faculty are approachable and interested. The curriculum blends theory with application, and professional development with personal reflection—a dynamic, career- and life-enhancing combination. More about our faculty...
Our Field Placements and Supervision Fieldwork placements and student-teaching assignments are made in the Inland Empire region’s schools. Students have the opportunity to network with school and district personnel, which, of course, helps with finding a job when the credential or degree is completed.
Our Easy, Student-Centered Schedule At Redlands, you’ll register only once. Upon acceptance, you’ll meet with a faculty advisor and register for an entire course sequence. There are no delays caused by oversubscribed classes or scheduling glitches. If you stick with the sequence, you’ll progress smoothly and achieve your goals on schedule. Advising Upon acceptance into a program, you’ll be assigned a faculty advisor who will assist you in developing a program designed to meet both state and University requirements. The faculty director of the program approves each student’s course of study.
Our 24-7 Services Okay, not all of our services are available 24-7, but many are, including our online course information, library, teacher recruitment and student bookstore services. Our student lounge, EdTech Center and Instructional Research Room in University Hall North are generally open from 8:00 am–10:00 pm on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
