The comprehensive and integrative Liberal Studies major is designed for traditional and non-traditional aged students intending to seek a California State Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential for grades K-8.

The major curriculum meets standards established by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) for breadth of knowledge.  University and CCTC standards for depth of knowledge are met through the completion of a disciplinary minor.
