"I think whoever you are, you can be comfortable here. But, you do have to come with a passion for learning, if you want to be successful.
"We have many different kinds of students here--people from all different walks of life. But, if you're passionate about school, if you're passionate about activities, we kind of cater to all of those needs. The academic is comfortable here, and the athlete is comfortable here, and the artist is comfortable here. We don't have one specific type of student. Some people find their passion in activities, some people find it in sports, I happen to find mine in academics, and reading and constant updating.
"A typical day for me--I like to schedule all my classes in the morning, and luckily, we have freedom to do that, so I'm done by noon. I can take a break, take a nap, just kind of refresh myself after class, and then usually, I just head right to the library. And luckily, we have a wonderful library. All the resources we need are there, and there's lots of books, and the research librarians are great. So, I'd spend a good amount of time in the library, and then, eat dinner at the commons and maybe study a little more, read some more, then try to get to bed at some point." |
