Transcript of the video interview:
"I'm the first in my family to go to a university. I went to De La Salle for two years, in Concord California, it's an all-boys Catholic school, and then I went to La Quinta High School. Athletic-wise, I was a tri-sport athlete in high school. Played CIF football, soccer, and baseball. When I came here I found out that sports is great, it's a passion of mine, but it's not my life. I'm going to be a senior next year, and I'm studying major in Psychology, and a minor in Government, hoping to go PreLaw.
"I need the attention, I need the small classes. If you're here, you're driven, or at least you have a passion to want to learn how to be driven, or you want to learn how to excel, this is the place for you. But it's finding that match. I got lucky enough to find it the first time, but you'll find a lot of transfer students come here and they end up loving it.
"There's a standard of academics, but there's also a standard of developing a person as a whole. I was real impressed with the University of Redlands when I came here." |
