About the Department
Government is a popular major at Redlands with a faculty of distinguished teachers and scholars. Students may earn a bachelor of arts degree in government or international relations. Many students also complete the prelaw concentration.
The department is a charter member of the Washington Semester sponsored by American University, which gives students the opportunity to spend four months in the nation's capital. Nearly all students participate in internships, some sponsored by prominent Redlands alumni in local, state and national government, including the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
