About the Program
Economics at Redlands emphasizes both the cultural and technical aspects of the field. The program combines two approaches to study: a rigorous set of traditional analytical courses intertwined with a set of political economy courses.
The latter offer critical appraisals of the premises, methods and conclusions of orthodox neoclassical economics and insist on an historical, empirical and institutional approach to economic studies.
Students may work toward bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degrees in economics.
