Business Administration and Accounting

Business Administration

Business and the liberal arts are combined to provide solid preparation in business with both behavioral, and social science perspectives. The program encourages a student's development as a whole person, while also teaching the critical and specific concepts, analytical skills and terminology necessary for a business career. The program emphasis is on developing students who can reason through a problem, develop the right questions, and who know how to go about finding answers. Equally important is the ability to understand and respect that there can be a variety of solutions to a problem.

School of Business: graduate and undergraduate degrees for working professionals.

Accounting

Accounting students extend academic skills to preparation for a specific career. Coursework emphasizes critical analysis, problem-solving, reasoning and communication. Accounting is presented as a process of developing and reporting economic and financial information for business, non-profit and government organizations. Students are prepared to take the Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Account exams. The major also provides the foundation for careers in finance, investment management and law.
