Blackboard Course Management
Blackboard, the University of Redlands course management system, enables faculty to publish course information online. Each Blackboard course site is password-protected, and only students that are registered in the course have access to the content.
Blackboard is used for delivering Web-enhanced course content such as learning materials, class discussions and assessments. Instructors do not need to know html to use Blackboard; content is added through the use of online forms. Files created in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and various other programs can be added directly into Blackboard.
Usage of Blackboard at the University of Redlands ranges from distributing course readings, to using the group function to assist students in developing group projects, to using the discussion board feature as a way of extending the classroom conversation beyond the traditional setting.
