"Palm trees and sunlight! 

"I’m from Chicago, I visited in February and it was 20 degrees below in Chicago--flew for three hours and wouldn’t you know, it was 85 and beautiful. That obviously was a selling factor to the school--the weather and the location. 

"But also the media studies aspect of my major--I knew I wanted to be in southern California, I knew I wanted to be connected and participate in TV/film as much as possible, but I knew that I wanted a school that was small and that was intimate enough where I could still relate to my professors. What better thing to do where not only you create your own major, you have this one on one connection with your professors and you have L.A. at your footstep."
