Graduate Assistantships

The School of Music has a limited number of Graduate Assistantships available each year. These assistantships are awarded based on School of Music need, student performance, and faculty recommendation.

Assistantships are tuition waivers and are renewable for up to four semesters. The assistantship can be valued at anywhere from 1-8 credits of tuition per term. In return we ask that you provide us a set number of hours of your time in return per week.

No application is necessary for an assistantship. You will automatically be considered for an assistantship based on your application and audition to the School of Music.

Other types of financial aid available for graduate music students include:

  1. A loan program is available from the Student Financial Services Office.

  2. A tuition installment plan from the Business and Finance office for those students who wish to spread their payments out over the entire academic year.
