Stop Kiss

by Diana Son

"A random act of violence gives this extremely funny and poignant chronicle a painful seriousness. . . A thoroughly modern story that uses a gay romance to point out the unexpected places that love can take us." -Curtainup

"Manhattan growls like an underfed pit bull in Stop Kiss, a sweet, sad and enchantingly sincere play . . . Falling in love with New York or in New York is risky. Only the brave need apply."
-Ben Brantley New York Times

Stop Kiss by Diana Son is a serious, comic love story set in New York City. Callie, a jaded traffic reporter, and Sara, a newly arrived grade school teacher, meet over a cat, explore Greenwich Village, enjoy gourmet food and cautiously flirt. But New York sophistication can't protect them from a vicious hate crime. The story only begins there, with a plot that takes a surprising journey. Not your normal Rom-Com, Stop Kiss is deeper, darker and funnier.
