January Term at Washington University

The School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis will offer a January Intensive Term (J-Term).  There will be two course options:  Electrical & Electronic Circuits and Engineering Mechanics I (see the program flier for more details).  This is an opportunity for 3-2 engineering students to explore engineering coursework and Washington University.  The course dates are December 26th, 2016 through January 7th, 2017. 

To be eligible, students should have a GPA of 3.25 or higher overall and in science and mathematics courses.  Pre-requisite courses include Calculus III (multivariable calculus) and a semester of calculus-based physics which covers mechanics, electromagnetism and optics (one-year calculus-based Physics with lab preferred).

With the affiliation discount of $5,570 offered to Redlands students, the total program fee is $1,950. This covers tuition, textbook, hotel, daily hot breakfast, and lunches on class days.  Students should budget for travel to and from St. Louis, personal expenses and dinners (hot dinner options available at the hotel).  Students will be housed close to campus at the Drury Inn.  A free shuttle service will transport students back and forth to campus each day.

November 15 is the deadline for the registration form and $250 deposit.  December 1st is the deadline for the balance of $1,700.  Enrollment is limited to 16 students for each class.
