Heung-Joo Cha is an Assistant Professor at the University of Redlands. I teach courses in finance. I obtained a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Houston, and MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining the university, I was an assistant professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and served as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Houston. I also taught at two Chinese universities in summer 2009. My research interests are mutual funds in the U.S. and other markets, international capital flows and portfolio investments, and emerging markets. I published and presented papers related to these areas. I worked as a manager at a large investment bank in Korea for fund management, international trading and underwriting in Eurobond markets.
