The Rental Shop

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Outdoor Programs space is located across from the tennis courts, on the east side of the Currier Gym.

The Lounge

Looking for a place to go in between classes? Wondering where all the outdoorsy folk on this campus hang out? Want to find the comfiest couch on campus? Come to OP! You can use this space to host meetings, movie nights or relax and check out of any of our many outdoor magazines available.

We have computers available to plan trips or check out any of our outdoor DVD’s Our library is full of books on where to go and what to do in the Outdoor in southern California. We also have a large selection of adventure stories and skill.

The Rental Shop

All the gear in the shop is available to check out at no cost to you (except where indicated). A credit card and Student ID is required to hold a deposit for equipment rented.

Here is a list of the equipment we have to offer:

  • 3-8 person tents sleeping bags
    • women’s and men’s
    • long and regular lengths
  • Compression sacks
  • Stuff sacks
  • Headlamps
  • Hiking backpacks
  • Snowshoes
  • Snowboards and boots (includes a $5 dollar fee)
  • Pot sets and miscellaneous pots and pans
  • Utensils
  • Spice Kits
  • Coleman car camping stoves
  • Rain gear: tops and bottoms, m/w
  • Coolers
  • Water jugs 

Cleaning out your closet? Need to empty out the garage? The rental shop would love to have your old fleeces, boots or other outdoor equipment that is in good shape.
