The University of Redlands is a residential community and requires all students to live on campus and abide by the Room and Board Contract. Returning students interested in petitioning to live off campus must complete the Off Campus Petition Process and be off campus approved by Residence Life and Housing to be exempt from room and board. Students with off campus approval must notify Residence Life and Housing at least 45 days prior to the beginning of the semester if they would like to change their housing status. Those who do not will sustain a $500 fine for processing and holding a housing space that was unable to be selected by other students.
