The University of Redlands Outdoor Programs strives to help students make meaningful connections to the natural world. We teach the skills of wilderness leadership through outdoor activities, but use these experiences as a tool for students to learn about themselves and others. It is our hope that our students will develop a lifelong commitment to healthy outdoor pursuits and environmental conservation. No prior experience in any activity is necessary.
The University of Redlands Outdoor Programs promotes Leave No Trace environmental ethics in all we do. We teach our students to enjoy outdoor recreation responsibly to ensure that future generations will continue to be able to do so.
Ranging in length from one afternoon to one month, Outdoor Programs offers a variety of trips to meet different interests and skill levels. They include:
The price of each trip depends on length and activities involved, but we strive to make OP trips as affordable as possible. Trip Sign ups are first come first serve and are run through the Outdoor Programs office.
To get involved with OP trips please send an e-mail with your contact information to Outdoor Programs. We will send you e-mails with updated information on trips that are happening. Trip information will also be posted in the Outdoor Programs space and in SLIC.
