The third largest residence hall is actually two buildings joined by a common lobby. “Cal” houses 80 male students in air-conditioned rooms with hall bathrooms. This is the only community of all-men, so there is a unique opportunity in Cal to present activities geared toward male college student interests and needs.

Founders houses 90 women in air-conditioned suites; each suite has two, double-occupancy rooms sharing one bathroom.

Cal-Founders is used as the vacation hall when the campus closes for Winter Break. During this time, students who need to stay on campus are placed in Cal-Founders rooms by making arrangements with the Student Life Office. Students who live in Cal-Founders during the academic year can place belongings in their closets, which remain locked for the break period, or in the hall storage rooms.

Room Size: 13' by 13' (California) and 13' by 15' (Founders)

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
