Diagnostic Testing for Learning Disabilities

Students who suspect that they may have learning disabilities or an attentional disorder should schedule an appointment to discuss the issue with Amy Wilms, Assistant Dean of Academics and Student Life. The number to call to schedule an appointment is 909-748-8069.

Testing can be arranged through the Disability Services Office in Student Development. The University of Redlands has developed relationships with local psychologists qualified to assess learning disabilities, and will provide referral information. The student must contact the psychologist to set up an appointment for testing and needs to sign a release to allow the psychologist to forward the psychological evaluation to the Disability Services Office.

Once the testing is completed and the student has received the results, the student is encouraged to reconnect with Disability Services to go over this information in more detail and discuss possible academic accommodations.
