Student Life

Jessica Garcia

Portrait of Jessica Garcia
Hello, my name is Jessica Garcia, hailing from the small city of Corona, California. I am a Sophomore at the University of Redlands, majoring in Global Business with a minor in Spanish. I absolutely adore working in Campus Diversity and Inclusion because of the lively and safe atmosphere with the professional and student staff. The environment in CDI is full of laughter and deep discussion about school life and social issues around the world. My first year I worked as a desksitter at the front desk of CDI, but now I work as an Intern for the Multicultural Center.

I am currently working on programs and events to bring awareness to the campus of the University of Redlands about global social issues that are currently plaguing our society and to start a a conversation that will hopefully never stop. I am a member of the non-greek social justice organization WRW. I volunteer for programs that come from CDI, such as Native Student Programs and I'm Going to College. I am also involved with S.T.E.P., a peer mentoring class that helps first generation students transition into college life with ease and comfort.
