Student Life

Jessica Garcia

Hi, my name is Jessica Garcia. My hometown is Corona, California, and I am a junior majoring in global business with a minor in Spanish. Working in Campus Diversity and Inclusion has been a great experience; I enjoy the lively feel  and safe atmosphere with the professional and student staff. The environment in CDI is full of laughter and deep discussion about school life and social issues around the world. I work as a desksitter at the front desk of CDI.

I am a member of a non-Greek social justice organization called WRW. I volunteer for programs that come out of CDI, such as Native Student Programs and I'm Going to College. I am also involved in STEP, a peer mentoring program that helps first generation freshmen transition into college with ease and comfort.

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
