"I took the college success strategies was a rewarding experience." - University of Redlands student

The College Success Strategies course (SSRV 154) is offered each semester to help students gain the skills necessary to succeed at the University. The class is offered each semester on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

This two unit course is designed to assist any student with obtaining the study skills and life skills necessary for academic success. "Becoming a Master Student," by David Ellis, is the text for the class.

The course teaches students time management skills, learning styles and techniques to improve memory, reading, notes and test taking skills. Emphasis is placed on developing positive attitudes, setting personal learning goals and motivating students through life goals and career planning. The cultures of the University and campus resources are explored.

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
