Residence Life Representative, Mayra Alvarez-Bernal

Residence Life Representative
El Paso, TX
Sociology and Psychology

Hey bulldogs! My name is Mayra Alvarez-Bernal, I am currently a junior at the University of Redlands, and I am a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I went to high school in San Diego, California, but I mainly spend my summers and winter breaks with my sister in El Paso, Texas, where I was born. I love attending the University of Redlands because of all the different opportunities to make connections with other students, and I have tried my best to enjoy these opportunities. I will be the Residence Life and Housing Representative on ASUR Cabinet and will also be a Community Assistant at the Grove Apartments. As the Res. Life Representative, I will be representing the residence halls on campus, and working along with the other Community Assistants to help improve your experience in your halls. Other things I am involved in include the environmental sorority, Kappa Pi Zeta, National Residence Hall Honorary, and Society of 2016. Feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas, or concerns!

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
