Asian American Pacific Islander Student Association

Name: Asian American Pacific Islander Student Association
Nickname: APSA
Contact: Leela Madhavarau

The Asian American Pacific Islander Student Association (APSA) is designed to serve as a support group for Asian American and Pacific Islander students at Redlands. The group provides opportunities for Asian American students to get together, as well as organize cultural events designed to help members of the campus community to develop a better understanding of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and history.

Although APSA is designed to provide support to Asian American students, the organization is open to all Redlands students who are interested in getting to know Asian American and Pacific Islander students and developing a stronger understanding of their culture.

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
