Subject: Security Alert- Suspicious Individual/Trespasser at Brockton Apartments

In the interest of heightening awareness following recent security incidents on or adjacent to campus, we are issuing this alert. At approximately 9:00 p.m. yesterday, a student reported an unknown man looking through her bedroom window from the exterior of Brockton Apartments. Upon being seen, the individual hid and then moved away. Public Safety and the Redlands Police Department searched the area. The individual did not appear to be associated with the University and was described as mid-30s, 5'8" to 6'0" tall, 160-170 pounds, with light complexion, short to medium length black hair, and wearing a blue or black hoodie and brown cargo pants.

Public Safety is conducting additional patrols of the Brockton Apartment area as a precautionary measure.

As a reminder:

• Ensure your doors and windows are secured when sleeping or leaving your residence.

• Keep window blinds closed during hours of darkness.

• Be aware of your surroundings both on and off campus.

• Immediately report any suspicious persons or activities to Public Safety.
