Application Requirements

  • Completed application
  • Evidence of a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Evidence of a 3.0 undergraduate GPA or an approved petition
  • Evidence of passing CBEST and Initiation of Certificate of Clearance (for credential applicants only)

Admissions Requirements

  • Two official transcripts issued by the Registrar of each institution attended and sent directly to the School of Education
  • Two letters of recommendation from professionals who know the applicant's work
  • Essay of 500 words describing personal experience and interests in relationship to the degree program (waived if applying to a credential only program)
  • Evidence of a California teacher credential or basic service credential (for Educational Administration applicants only)
  • Faculty review of file and admission approval
