DESCRIPTION:  This position is part of a team of programmer/analysts who are responsible for supporting enterprise software applications and participating in projects that support university wide administrative applications, in collaboration with university personnel.  This position will work with end users to trouble-shoot and to develop and maintain custom programs, facilitate use of enterprise applications and query and update databases.  They will analyze functional processes, design solutions and implement critical information systems.  They will also analyzes requests for feasibility and propose alternatives for meeting end user needs, then  plan, develop, and implement desired alternatives to address those needs.

Duties and responsibilities include but, are not limited to:

  • Provides support for Ellucian Colleague, Ellucian Recruiter CRM, SAP Business Objects and other related applications.
  • Trouble-shoots and develops custom programs to enhance enterprise applications.
  • Develops, programs, implements and maintains application programs.
  • Generates reports from Colleague, Business Objects, SQL Server Reporting Services and other tools.
  • Consults with functional users.
  • Analyzes requests for feasibility and proposes alternative for meeting users’ needs.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plus five (5) to eight (8) years of programming experience, including three (3) years of technical experience with applications of administrative systems in higher education including but not limited to: SAP Business Objects, Ellucian Colleague and Ellucian Recruiter CRM.  Experience with SQL Server is highly preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have experience in systems analysis, specification and design; programming experience; 4GL report writing tools, Microsoft Windows Operating System and Microsoft Professional Applications. They must be able to competently interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
