DESCRIPTION:
  The University of Redlands’ School of Education invites applications for a clinical professor (three-year renewable contract depending upon needs) who is a distinguished practitioner in     K-12 education who is able to teach effectively and make other contributions to the School of Education.  Specifically, we are seeking candidates with a specialty in Social Studies, an emphasis in Elementary Social Studies Education, and/or experience in K-12 Educational Administration. We seek a dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic colleague who will provide intellectual leadership in elementary social studies, work with teacher education colleagues to enhance the University of Redlands’ teacher education program, teach courses in elementary social studies methods and graduate courses in educational administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Position includes teaching methods courses in the Preliminary Teacher Education Program. Specifically, teaching opportunities are available in Multiple Subject Curriculum and Methods with an emphasis on K-8 social studies content and the integration of language arts, visual arts, and technology. In addition, candidates are needed with training and experience to teach master’s-level courses leading to the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential in the Educational Administration Program. The successful candidate will participate in School service, in continuing accreditation activities of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and work with regional education programs; We seek a candidate who is committed to the region, the University's core values, and the School’s goals

QUALIFICATIONS: (1) an earned doctorate or MA in Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Methods, Educational Administration or a closely related field, completed by time of employment; (2) experience with or potential for teaching elementary methods and master’s level Educational Administration courses with technology-enriched learning; (3) an established record of  three or more years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting; and (4) a commitment to field-based and collaborative teacher preparation.
