POSITION: Chair of Global Business
DEPARTMENT: Business Administration and Accounting, College of Arts and Sciences
APPOINTMENT RANK: Three-year renewable term faculty position.
DATE AVAILABLE: Start date is open, but should be no earlier than January 2013, and no later than September 2013.

The Department of Business Administration and Accounting, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks an endowed Chair of Global Business to support its nationally recognized undergraduate Global Business degree program. This is a three year renewable, term faculty appointment and a new position. The ideal candidate will have extensive practical experience in international business. The Global Business program focuses on developing writing, management, language and decision-making skills necessary for a graduate to excel in a highly competitive global environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should possess an M.A., MBA, J.D., or Ph.D. in relevant fields. Extensive business experience in residential overseas environments preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate effective management responsibilities in other cultures. Teaching duties include six class sections, each year, including the department capstone in Business Policy and Strategy and other international courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate the abilities, and be expected, to develop significant external connections for our students, affording opportunities for internships, guest speakers, case studies and employment opportunities.
The University is located sixty miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in a town of 70,000. The campus is surrounded by orange groves and sits at the base of the San Bernardino mountains, one hour from ski resorts, one hour from the coast and 45 minutes from Palm Springs. Light rail into downtown Los Angeles and coastal areas is available nearby.
