Catherine Salmon
Associate Professor of Psychology

Catherine Salmon is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Redlands who can offer insight on a wide range of behavioral topics.

Her areas of expertise include parental investment and favoritism, dating, reproductive suppression, evolutionary psychology, female sexuality (especially prostitution and pornography), eating disorders and criminal behavior.

She is a co-author of the book “The Secret Power of Middle Children” and can speak about middle children as well as birth order issues. Another book she co-wrote is “Warrior Lovers: Erotic Fiction, Evolution and Female Sexuality.”

Salmon has a doctorate in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in biology, both from McMaster University.
