The University of Redlands presented some 1,420 credentials, bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees during commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 26 and Saturday, May 28.
Prominent attorney David Boies, a 1964 alumnus who has been involved with some of the nation’s most high-profile cases, was the College of Arts and Sciences speaker and watched his grandson graduate as a member of the Class of ’11.
David Boies IV was among the 620 graduates to receive degrees from the College during the Saturday morning ceremony.
The University’s professional schools, the School of Education and the School of Business, graduated 800 students during their ceremonies held on Thursday and Saturday evening, respectively.
Alumna Kay Kallander, the senior vice president of strategic planning at the American Baptist Homes of the West, spoke to the 500 business graduates. Retiring School of Education Dean Bob Denham, a veteran educator and school administrator, addressed the 300 education graduates.
