2011Cummings Peace Lecture to Address Haiti’s Past, Present and Future

(February 1, 2011) This year’s Cummings Peace Lecturer at the University of Redlands will be Dr. Tracy Fitzsimmons, who will speak about Haiti and its past, present, and future.

Fitzsimmons is the president of Shenandoah University in Virginia and formerly a member of the University of Redlands faculty. She will deliver the Cummings Lecture on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Watchorn Hall.

The Cummings Lecture on World Peace is an annual lecture designed to explore topics relating to peace and reconciliation on a national and global scale. The lecture was inaugurated in 1990 and is made possible by the estate of Oliver deWolf, a University of Redlands alumnus of the class of 1921, and Edith M. Cummings.
