Tibetan Monks build a Sand Mandela for compassion during a visit to the University, April 4-8, 2011.
More than 2,500 people, many who had never been to the University of Redlands campus before, viewed the Tibetan Buddhist monks construction and deconstruction of the compassion sand mandala in the Memorial Chapel. The monks, who were often seen out on the Quad visiting with students in the afternoons, expressed to organizers how much they enjoyed their visit to Redlands.
