Sorority members help clean up Sylvan Park rose garden
On October 16, over 50 Sorority women joined efforts with Master Gardener and Elite Grounds Crew Lead, Eugene Jackson to prune, weed, and rake the Elsie Krum Memorial Rose Garden in Sylvan Park. The Sorority women are apart of the Pan-Hellenic Council, a governing body for the Greek sisterhoods on campus that oversee Greek events. They recently volunteered at their new adopted site to serve and help the city keep the park beautiful.

Eric Reeves, from the City of Redlands, was there to welcome the group who spent over two hours in the morning shaping up the large rose bed which is a testament to the beauty of Sylvan Park. The on-going partnership between the city and the University is the latest effort in maintaining the quality of life in Redlands during difficult economic times. The Office of Community Service Learning, Facilities Management, and the City of Redlands helped to organize the event.
