Redlands Forum

Esri founder and president Jack Dangermond and seven leaders of the Redlands community engaged a large audience at the Esri Conference Center Nov. 17 discussing, “Building a Vision for Redlands,” at the Redlands Forum presented by Esri and the University of Redlands Town & Gown.

University President James Appleton joined University Trustee and A.K. Smiley Public Library Director Larry Burgess, Redlands Chief of Police Jim Bueermann, City Manager N. Enrique Martinez, Redlands Unified School District Superintendent Lori Rhodes, Redlands Community Hospital President Jim Holmes and Redlands Conservancy Executive Director Sherli Leonard on an informal stage to present their ideas individually on how the community can come together for the good of Redlands.

Each panelist offered three of his or her ideas on how to improve, maintain and preserve the city. Appleton was the final panelist to speak, advocating the idea of creating processes or methodologies to bring the ideas, and the entities behind them, together so ideas can be implemented.
