College Credit

Did you know that some of the best college classes you can take are available to you in high school? They’re called “A.P.” or Advanced Placement classes.

One factor that makes AP classes so valuable if you’re a college-bound high schooler is cost. Because, while there may be a small fee charged to test and earn credit for taking them, by passing just four AP courses, you can potentially eliminate an entire semester’s worth of college requirements.

That could mean wiping out a semester’s worth of college tuition and living expenses – which, at a top private college could mean saving $10,000 or more.

Getting high scores on AP tests can also increase your chances of receiving merit or non-need-based financial aid from many colleges. So think “AP” in high school and get ahead in college.
