Deciding on a Major

Some first year students show up to college or university knowing what major they want to pursue. If you don’t know, it’s ok, you’re not alone. In fact, many new students begin their college career not knowing what their major will be.

So consider this: college is a great place to discover new career options, where you excel, and what opportunities your personal strengths and interests might open up. In the college or university environment, you’ll likely be exposed to many majors that you may never even knew existed. That’s a good thing, because when you do eventually choose your major, it should be one that interests and inspires you and helps you create a lifetime of success.

So don’t worry about taking time to choose. After all, it’s a major decision.
