Visiting Writers Series Features Ander Monson

Nonfiction, fiction and poetry writer Ander Monson will read his work on campus on Thursday, March 18 as a part of the university’s Visiting Writers Series, organized each year by the creative writing department.

¬†Aside from authoring a decoder wheel, several chapbooks, limited edition letterpress collaborations and a web site, Monson is also the author of three books of nonfiction, fiction and poetry: Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize winning book “Neck Deep and other Predicaments,” “Other Electricities,” and “Vacationland.”

In addition, Monson’s poetry collection “The Available World” and nonfiction project, “Vanishing Point: Not a Memoir” are set to be published this year.

Monson resides in Tucson, Ariz., where he edits DIAGRAM magazine and the New Michigan Press.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Thursday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Hall of Letters 100.
