Author of Three Cups of Tea Speaks at Redlands

The University of Redlands and ESRI are excited to bring Greg Mortenson, the author of the #1 New York Times best-seller "Three Cups of Tea" and "Stones Into Schools" to speak to the campus community.

 Mortenson will speak at the Chapel on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the University of Redlands Office of Campus Diversity and Inclusion, ASUR Convocation Lecture Series, Chaplain's Office, ESRI and the Cummings Peace Lecture.

As co-founder and executive director of the Central Asian Institute, Mortenson is a dedicated contributor to education and literacy in the remote mountain regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan, since his K2 climb in 1993.

 He is also the founder of Pennies for Peace, an international service organization geared towards raising funds for the construction of schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan – one penny at a time.

Tickets are available to the campus community on a first –come, first –serve basis in the Office of Campus Diversity and Inclusion.
