Student Article Chosen by Politics Website

Current student Kara Van Stralen’s article, Internships Matter! Here’s How to Get One, was chosen to appear on the website PoliticsUnder30.org. Her piece on the internship process was chosen by the website. After they asked their readers to send them any ideas they might have for new articles.

PoliticsUnder30.org is a one-stop shop for detailed careers in politics; it has exclusive interviews, in-depth articles, and insightful advice about the day-to-day life of political professionals. The website provides job hunting tips, resume building advice and support for young people in politics.

Van Stralen has participated in several internships both locally and in Washington D.C. through out her time here at the University of Redlands. She has served as director of Convocations and Lectures Series and is currently the Associated Students of the University of Redlands (ASUR) Student Body Vice President.

Van Stralen is a government major and will be attending George Washington University’s Graduate School for Political Management to get her M.P.S. in Legislative Affairs.
