Spreading Spirit at Redlands

After three days, two gallons of maroon paint, and countless rolls of tape, five members of the University of Redlands staff had achieved their goal – painting the words “Home of the Bulldogs” across the visitor bleachers in Ted Runner Stadium.

"'Home of the Bulldogs' is an exciting addition to an already fantastic facility. This project was done by staff members who volunteered their time because they knew it would be exciting for the student-athletes," said Director of Athletics and Physical Education Jeff Martinez.

The painting, which is 150 ft across and 3 ft tall, will surely ignite pride in Bulldog hearts as the university gears up for the start of the 100th season of Bulldog Football.

“It is another great example of the passion our coaches and staff have for an outstanding student-athlete experience. Bulldog Football’s celebration of their 100th season is certain to get off to an exciting start,” said Martinez.

University of Redlands students contribute more than 100,000 hours of community service annually.
