President Dorsey Shares his Sports Reflections

Did you know that aside from being an avid Bulldog athletics fan, President Stuart Dorsey is a golf enthusiast.

And he tells the newspaper that it was actually sports that propelled him to the U of R presidency.

“I was a very avid golfer when I was younger. I was smart enough to realize early on that I was not going to make it as a professional golfer. The best thing that happened to me was I blew a 2-shot lead with three holes to go at the state junior amateur and lost.”

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
