President Dorsey Shares his Sports Reflections

Dr. Stuart Dorsey

Did you know that aside from being an avid Bulldog athletics fan, President Stuart Dorsey is a golf enthusiast.

And he tells the newspaper that it was actually sports that propelled him to the U of R presidency.

“I was a very avid golfer when I was younger. I was smart enough to realize early on that I was not going to make it as a professional golfer. The best thing that happened to me was I blew a 2-shot lead with three holes to go at the state junior amateur and lost.”

Be sure to check out last Wednesday’s Press-Enterprise for the Redlands president’s reflections on Bulldog sports, college athletics, the economy—as well as his fondness for the fairway.
