The University Presents "An Evening of Beckett Shorts"

The University of Redlands theatre department presents “An Evening of Beckett Shorts,” five short plays by Pultizer Prize winning novelist and playwright Samuel Beckett.

Samuel Beckett was an Irish writer, dramatist and poet whose work offers an outlook on human culture. Considered by many as inspirational, Beckett was best known for his plays “Waiting for Godot” and “Endgame.”

The university will honor Beckett through a selection of his works which include “Breath,” “Come and Go,” “Play,” “Footfalls” and “Not I,” all which highlight the human condition and its uncertain place in existence. Performances are Nov. 19-22 at 8 p.m. in the university’s Glenn Wallichs Theatre.

Tickets are on sale to the general public for $10. For more information or to reserve tickets, call (909) 748-8028 or visit http://www.redlands.edu/x35825.asp.
