University Promotes Three to Senior Management Positions

Three seasoned Redlands employees have been named to upper-level positions at the university.

Cory Nomura is now chief financial officer and treasurer (chief financial officer), while Nancy Svenson has accepted the appointment of associate vice president for enrollment management (chief enrollment services officer).

Hamid Etesamnia has been named associate vice president for information technology and facilities planning and management (chief information officer). The changes came after a review of administrative operations and structure. One of the goals of the restructuring was to give the executive vice president an opportunity to focus on new institutional initiatives and other strategic efforts.

The three all bring numerous strengths to their new positions, Executive Vice President Phillip Doolittle said in a memo sent to the university community.

“Cory, Nancy and Hamid are all seasoned professionals who bring tremendous experience, knowledge and expertise to their new positions,” he wrote.

“They are engaged leaders and visionary problem-solvers. All three have a good understanding of their institution and the value of the Redlands experience. President (Stuart) Dorsey and I are confident that Cory, Nancy and Hamid will succeed in their new leadership roles at the university. We ask for your support, encouragement and patience as we transition to this new leadership structure.”
