Bulldog Triathlon

The University of Redlands, in collaboration with Redlands Recreation and PossAbilities, is hosting the first annual Bulldog Triathlon and 5K Run, Walk & Roll. The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Ted Runner Stadium at the university.

The event is open to participants of any age, and awards will be presented to the top three male and female athletes in both the 5K and the triathlon; the top three participants in their age group in the triathlon and 5K; the top three participants in the physically challenged category; the first place male and female athletes over 40; and the first place male and female college students.

The male and female winners of each age group in the triathlon will earn free entry into next year's event.

The event will begin with a 3.1-mile run through the campus, then an 11-mile bike around beautiful downtown Redlands and will finish with a 150-yard swim in the university pool. Athletes are required to wear a hard-shell helmet through the bike portion of the event.
