The School of Business Announces Leadership Changes

In August, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management Nancy Svenson announced the promotion of Robyn Jones from Campus Director, Torrance to Associate Director of Enrollment and Operations for Recruitment and Marketing.

In this centralized role, Robyn oversees eight regional Campus Directors and all recruitment and enrollment efforts of the eight regional campuses. She assists in the development and implementation of our marketing plan and is responsible for developing strategic corporate partnerships throughout southern California.

Prior to her promotion, Robyn exhibited commendable leadership in turning around the Torrance Campus, and in extending our corporate partnership efforts, including re-establishing our presence with Boeing, International, and developing new opportunities with Hydraflow and Sempra Utilities.

Robyn’s extensive knowledge of branding, higher education marketing and customer service, as well as her team building skills, will serve this position well. Robyn earned her BA from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Redlands, and her MBA from the University of LaVerne. She resides in Manhattan Beach with her daughter.

Following Robyn’s promotion, the School of Business welcomed aboard three new Campus Directors, each with over 20 years of experience in various higher education roles.

In October, Heather Russell was appointed Campus Director, Riverside. Heather brings with her an impressive track record in marketing, operations, admissions and strategic enrollment management. Her experience includes a number of roles at the University of La Verne, the University of California at Riverside, and most recently at Hyundai Motor America. Heather earned her BS in Public Relations from the University of Florida and her MA in Communications from the University of La Verne. She resides in Foothill Ranch with her husband and daughter.

In early November, Robert Carolin was appointed Campus Director, San Diego, and Michael Haley was appointed Campus Director, Temecula. Robert’s previous experience includes roles at American University, Georgetown University, San Jose State and San Diego State University. Robert brings with him extensive knowledge of admissions, marketing and programmatic development. He earned his BA in International Studies from American University, and his MA in International Management from the School for International Training in Vermont. He has also completed work toward a Business Administration Graduate Certificate from Georgetown University. Robert resides in San Diego, is an avid cyclist and enjoys sailing.

Michael’s experience includes a variety of roles in both the US (including Hawaii) and Japan, and has a remarkable record of achievement in the for-profit education sector, combined with a true passion for private higher education. Michael earned his BS at Arizona State University (as an adult learner) and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is originally from Minnesota, is fluent in Japanese, and is currently residing in Foothill Ranch with his wife and three children.
