The Redlands Symphony "Dancing With The Stars" Gala black tie optional event will feature fine dining, cocktails, dancing, and silent and live auctions at 5:30 p.m. June 1 at the Orton Center. All proceeds from the Gala support the Symphony’s music education programs for children and the regular concert season.

Regular seating tickets are $125 and platinum seating tickets are $150. Guests will begin the night at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, a silent auction and dinner followed by a live auction and dance showcase.

The Dancing with the Stars showcase will include performances by Curtis B. Allen, Sr., Betty Beck, Roy Cencirulo, Pat Gilbreath and Marvin Hudson. Supporters can vote for the dancers online at or in person. Each vote costs $1 and the dancer who has the most votes will win a mirror ball trophy. Buddy Schwimmer’s Dance Center and Fox Dance Center are providing professional instruction for the dancers.

Auction items will include a dinner prepared for you and your guests at the home of University of Redlands President Ralph Kuncl and his wife Nancy, with music provided by Redlands Symphony Maestro Jon Robertson; the services of a French chef for an evening at your own home; a cruise for two to either the Mexican Riviera or the Caribbean; a trip for two down the romantic Danube River between Budapest and Nuremberg; private Skybox seats at a Lakers basketball game and much more.

“We have a long weekend stay at the Circle Z Guest Ranch in Patagonia, Ariz., a week at a wonderful condo in Mammoth, many hotel stays, gift cards at great restaurants and beautiful jewelry to offer,” Mary Carruthers, event chair, said. “The list goes on and on.”

The Symphony will also highlight a collection of hand painted violins created by a group of local artists that will be available during the silent auction portion of the evening.

For more information about tickets or to R.S.V.P. by May 17 please go to or call the Symphony office at 909-748-8018.
