The School of Continuing Studies will offer general education courses beginning in June through an initiative called The courses fill an important need for many students at University of Redlands and other students who are on waiting lists for basic courses in California’s public colleges, a delay that increases the cost and duration of college and reduces the number of students who earn degrees.¬†includes courses such as Accounting, Business and Public Speaking, Business Writing, College Algebra, College Reading and Writing, Constitutional Law, First-Year Spanish, Introduction to Academic Writing, Green Business, Religion in America, and World History, to name a few. Courses will be offered at all eight of the University’s Southern California locations, which include Burbank, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Ana, Temecula and Torrance.

There are more than 1,700 trees on the University of Redlands campus.

In April 2010, it was designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Redlands is among just three other colleges or universities in California to receive this designation.
