24th Annual Bulldog Bench Golf Tournament

Bulldog Athletics Invites Community to Support the 24th Annual Bulldog Bench Golf Tournament

The University of Redlands and Bulldog Athletics announce that the 24th Annual Bulldog Bench Golf Tournament will tee off on Monday, May 13, at the historic Redlands Country Club.

Following an informal and entertaining golf clinic by Senior PGA Tour Member and local resident Dave Stockton, the premiere fundraising event for Redlands' 21 athletic programs takes to the course at the Redlands Country Club with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. The participants enjoy a barbecue lunch on the course and then return to the club house for a no-host social hour. Tournament awards, door-prize drawing, and a live auction take place during the dinner program, which concludes no later than 7:30 p.m.

Cost to participate in this great day is $275, which includes green fees, cart, tee-prize package, foursome photo, door-prize ticket, clinic, BBQ lunch and buffet dinner. To attend the evening program, which includes dinner, auction and awards, the cost is only $75 per person.

"The Bulldog Bench Golf Tournament continues to be a terrific way to support the student-athlete experience at Redlands," Director of Athletics Jeff Martinez commented. "We look forward to a great day on May 13!"

Supporters of the tournament may donate a door prize or auction item, or serve as a sponsor. Sponsorship levels include $300, $1,250, $2,500, $5,000 and more. For additional information or for sponsorship opportunities, please call the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at 909-748-8400 or submit a completed multi-sponsorship form.

All proceeds benefit the University of Redlands intercollegiate athletic teams.

Thurber, an English bulldog, is the University's mascot.

He is named after Clarence Howe Thurber, University president from 1933-37.
