University of Redlands Visiting Writers Series: Dana Spiotta
Award winning Author Dana Spiotta to read and speak at the University of Redlands
REDLANDS, Oct. 12, 2012 – The Creative Writing Department is pleased to announce its second Visiting Writers Series event of Fall 2012 featuring author Dana Spiotta. Spiotta is the author of three novels: Lightning Field (a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and Los Angeles Times Best Book of the West), Eat the Document, and Stone Arabia (finalist for the National Book Critics Award and named best book of 2011 by The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly and Salon. Ms. Spiotta is currently a professor in the MFA program at Syracuse University and lives in New York.
